Created in Lomé-Togo in 2012, AFRICA SINGS, a platform for expression of choral music in Africa .This festival takes place every year in a member country of the AFCM. During this festival, choirs and groups from all over the world exchange ideas and think about the development of Africa.

“AFRICA SINGS” is organised by SOPRANO EVENTS LTD a company recognized by the Companies House UK and specialises in the organisation of musical events and festivals. Soprano Events Ldt promotes and facilitates participation in events across more than several festivals worldwide.

After the first, second, third, fourth, fifth, seventh edition in Togo, Ghana, Burundi, London- UK, Strasbourg-FRANCE, Togo, and Benin, the eighth edition is earmarked to be held in Asaba Delta State in Nigeria; propagating fraternity, choral music and friendship.

The creation of this festival is a solution to the lack of training, workshops, self / cultural identification and knowledge exchange. The worth of the African choral art, the affirmation of our identities and it’s sustenance is to be promoted and encouraged throughout this festival.

“AFRICA SINGS” is a pan-African festival of choral & Gospel music. It is created with the purpose of strengthening the bonds of friendship and fraternity in the peoples of Africa and the rest of the world.
“AFRICA SINGS” was organized in 2012 in Togo, 2013 in Ghana, 2014 in Burundi 2018 in London UK, 2019 in Strasbourg France, 2022 in Lomé Togo, and 2023 in Cotonou Benin.

The 2024 edition will be held in Asaba, Delta state, Nigeria from 15th to 20th October 2024.
